I had previously asked in one of my earlier stories on this website that I was looking for feedback into what alarm I should get myself.  Well I read a few alarm reviews on the internet and decided to go with the Protector Plus Wireless Home Security System.

I know what you are thinking, this is the exact one I had all this time.  Yes that’s correct but the way I see it is that it has helped me out all this time without any problems, why should I risk getting another one when I might not like it?

It’s a little bit over my ideal budget but when you work as a security guard, nearly every purchase is over budget!

My wife is happy that I got an alarm that I am happy with and I am happy that I can now put that little part of my life behind me thankfully.

Work is going good, had another exciting day the other day.  Nothing too big but had a lot of good meetings with the management on where we need to take the companies and they were asking me what my requirements were in terms of the buildings security and its infrastructure.

It was good to be involved in the talks as it has been a long time since I have gotten to air my views.

In other news it’s my turn on the dinner tonight so the wife can put her feet up and relax.  I enjoy these nights, quite, safe and secure.

I never knew anything about it until they sounded the alarm.  I was actually having lunch at the time and before I knew it I was downstairs doing CPR on a lady that actually looked a little bit like my wife.

She eventually came round but only after the police and the ambulance had arrived.  I tell you there is never a dull moment when you are a security guard.  Well sometimes there are but when the dull moments happen I just have a nap.

I phoned the police later to check up the lady, gladly she made a full recovery and she even passed on her thanks to me.  I was quite happy you could say.

I had another shock to the system yesterday as one of my grandchildren who reads this website told me that after reading my stories he wants to become a security guard too!

I tried to downplay my job by telling him that’s its all about fixing fridges and repairing broken alarm systems but that never stopped him, he still wants to be like his granddad.

It’s funny how the fact I was asked to do this website has allowed me to communicate with people in my family in ways I didn’t think possible.  I had my doubts about this website but knowing that my grand kids are reading is reason enough to keep this going.

Anyway I have a busy night ahead; I am going to a local DIY store to have a look at some of their security devices.  As you may have read I am deciding on getting a new alarm because my old one is beginning to show wear and tear.

My employers were not too happy, but I had another bash and it seemed to be working again after I had tested the alarm.

I had a good day with my son also; we went for a walk and took a stroll around the beach where we stay.  He has just started a new job and he seems happy with it.  Apparently it pays very well so he is doing ok and that’s fine by me.

I have been also paying a lot of attention to my lovely wife too, she has been really nice to me lately and I like spending time with her.

I don’t know if I have already mentioned but it was my granddaughter who convinced me to start this website to get to know me better but I don’t think it’s for me.  I like writing but I don’t know if I like showing my personal details to everyone out there.

I will continue to write on this site for the sake of my family as they are enjoying reading it.  I prefer to just get on with my life.

Talking of which I have really been enjoying my work.  I am a security guard by day and I usually repair stuff, fall asleep and then go for strolls (in that order).  Hopefully I won’t be repairing that alarm anytime again because it’s beginning to annoy my boss and I don’t like it when he is angry.

Don’t tell my employers but I was looking on the internet for a new security alarm for myself.  I said in the last post that I have a Protector Plus alarm, so far I have had no troubles with it but it is getting old and I need a new one, so says the wife anyway.

SO I was looking at all the big sites for help in deciding which alarm to get.  Some had some good feedback from buyers who had purchased such and such security system.  The trouble I found with some of the viewpoints was that they ranged from one extreme to another.

It’s quite difficult to pick a system when one person says its great and the next says its trash.

I am trying to think of what else I have been up to since last time I wrote on this site.  I have been doing a lot of overtime at my job.  Being a security guard has its perks sometimes.  I can have a little sleep when the bosses are away and I can have little walks whenever I want.

Today I was acting like a bit of a janitor repairing a door and then an actual alarm system they have installed on the front door.  Apparently I saved them some money for fixing it as opposed to getting a professional out to check it.

Other than that I am looking forward to my meal tonight with my lovely wife, she said she would make me something’s nice.  After dinner I may watch some TV then off to bed.

No doubt it will be more of the same tomorrow another shift as a security guard fixing doors and repairing alarms.  Oh and maybe even catching a thief but that hasn’t happened in a long time.

I have married twice have 3 fantastic children and 8 grandchildren.  I have been a security guard for almost 13 years and have always taken an interest in security in general.

Before my security guard job I was a salesman for home security products such as alarm devices and door lock (industrial strength ones).

I have been married to my 2nd wife for quite a while now, longer than I car to remember.

I guess I better start talking about something worthwhile.  I have a wireless alarm that I wanted to write about.  It’s a Protector Plus make and I’ve had it for a few years now.  Quite a good solid alarm overall and I am happy with it.

The trouble is I need a new one because it’s getting a bit old and has some wear and tear.

What I would like to know from everyone that reads this is what sort of other alarms are there available that would be ideal for my house?

I have a 2 story 3 bedroom villa that needs protected.  Not that I live in a bad area or anything, it’s just that the wife and I like to know that we are safe anyways.

I have heard of other alarm companies that are quite good but never actually had a chance to use them so any feedback on it would be great.

Oh my daughter’s website is nothing like this, she has a place where you can chat about the latest music pop stars and the like.  Not my thing but its impressive none the less.

I want to continue but my fingers are getting sore (arthritis) I will post again soon about something random no doubt.
